Guests at The Hunters Hut have full access to our scenic pond and its surrounding areas. Enjoy catch-and-release fishing, but please bring your own equipment. You can also explore the pond by paddle boat, adding to your outdoor experience. You are also free to walk around the pond at your leisure. While there are two other Airbnb accommodations located on the property behind The Hunters Hut, the pond and its amenities are open for everyone to enjoy.

Relax by your own fire pit under a blanket of stars, sip your morning coffee on the porch, and let the sounds of nature wash your worries away. Our scenic pond and dock offer a peaceful spot for catch-and-release fishing (just bring your own gear!). While paddle boats are currently unavailable due to low water levels, the nature trail is open and perfect for a quiet walk surrounded by the beauty of the Pineywoods. You may also notice a few friendly animals in their own gated area during your stay — they’re part of what makes our property so special! 🐐 If you’d like to feed or visit them, just reach out to us first and we’ll be happy to assist. For everyone’s safety (and theirs), we kindly ask that you don’t enter the gated area or approach them on your own. While there are two other Airbnb units on the property, each maintains its own privacy, so you can relax and enjoy your time in peace. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, a peaceful escape, or just a break from the hustle and bustle, The Hunter’s Hut offers the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and East Texas nature. Other Details to Note

Please note that this is a tiny space, perfect for up to two guests. It offers a camping-like experience, without the need to pitch a tent, while still providing the luxury of modern essentials. It’s ideal for an overnight getaway or a few nights away, though long-term stays are more than welcome. Keep in mind, due to the size and the camping-style setup, the space doesn’t include additional amenities like a coffee maker or toaster, as it focuses on simplicity and nature. The property does have a few goats and a Great Pyrenees named Loki that protects the goats but they are in their own gated area. Loki will bark when you arrive but he is just welcoming you. If he becomes to unwelcoming please let us know.
